The Patek Philippe reference 5004 was released in 1994, with production running until 2009. It is believed that only 300 examples of the ref 5004 were made in platinum over its 13-year life cycle. Similar in appearance to the 2499 and 3970, the 5004 occupies a 36.5 mm case retaining elegant, vintage inspired proportions. While the 5004 also features similar complications including perpetual calendar and chronograph, there is an additional, hidden complexity: the split-second function revealed by the distinctive over-sized crown housing a third pusher.
